Our History

Minerva Limited General Trading Co., was established by its founder Mr. Abdul Reda Abdullah Al Herz in Kuwait as a food general trading company, specialized in the food importation, and distribution.
Mr. Al Herz started mainly in the Specialized Food sector by introducing into the local market Japanese specialized food products from Japan and USA. We are one of the leading suppliers of this Kind of products in which we hold about 60% market share. During the years which have followed, has diversified the company’s business activities into other food products such as cooking oils, cheeses, frozen meat products, frozen poultry, Chilled and Frozen Seafood and others. Earlier, we have concluded certain contracts with international catering companies to supply big international construction camps working in Kuwait, and abroad by ensuring regular supplies to them of food items such as rice, sugar, oils, meat, chicken, and fish. These companies were international contractors from Japan, Korea, India, France, USA .
It was at that time that we also expanded international activities by ranging its products from countries like India,USA, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, and others, in order to fulfill the demand of different nationalities of laborers, and the local working nationalities in the Kuwait market.
Today we are considered to be one of the very well established and sound food companies in Kuwait. It enjoys an excellent reputation in both the local market, and abroad.
The company has very well scaled up its activities during the past years to be one of the leading distributors of bakery items, and also a leading importer, and distributor of Asian foods here. Today, Minerva Limited General Trading is the largest importer of Japanese foods in the country, catering to all Japanese restaurants. It is also considered to be the largest importer in the different varieties of Chinese sauces, Indian and Filipino & Korean food products along with vast variety of seafood Products ranging live, chilled and Frozen. At this present stage, we are proud to say that our distribution cart is carrying more than 500 different products.

Our working force is over 50 people, with 15 distribution cars in different sizes ensuring the saturation, and covering of all outlets from big hypermarkets to supermarkets, and smaller
outlets, not forgetting the catering companies, and Horeca Sector.

Minerva Limited General Trading Co., has in the past years diversified its business activities to establish a complete separate divisions which is the restaurant business, sushi outlets Serving Japanese fusion gourmet food was something which was considered to be a food heaven for real gourmet tasters.
Our business group has always been growing steadily, and cautiously to meet our market needs. In spite of the tough competition in most of the Food and beverage market in Kuwait, we knew that with our long experience throughout the years, and with our professional team of expertise, we have made sure that our businesses was still running as ever sound , and steadily.
